Domestic Violence and Stalking Investigations
Domestic Violence situations are a matter of life or death. It is among the most commonly encountered investigations law enforcement officers will conduct. This two-day training on Advanced Domestic Violence Investigations will provide attendees with all of the knowledge they will need to conduct thorough and trauma-informed domestic violence investigations. This course will go into great detail about conducting stalking and strangulation investigations as well, two of the most predictive behaviors of pending lethal violence. Attendees will also learn about the use of evidence-based lethality assessments and their use by multidisciplinary teams to prevent domestic violence related lethal and near-lethal violence.

- Understand the concepts and dynamics of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).
- Apply trauma-informed approaches when responding to IPV calls.
- Conduct thorough and comprehensive investigations to improve outcomes for survivors.
