David Crowell

Detective David Crowell works with the New Port Richey Police Department in Florida.  David is assigned as a Detective with the agency and handles all manner of crimes.  He is responsible for major crimes, property crimes, child-based crimes, sexual batteries, and financial crimes.  David also works on drug cases to include distribution cases and overdose deaths. 

Detective David Crowell has been a police officer for 16 years and has worked for three agencies, two in Maryland and one in Florida.  His previous assignments include patrol officer, FTO, narcotics K9 handler, street crimes/vice narcotics detective, and a major case investigator. 

David has been trained in interview and interrogations, death and injury investigations, narcotics investigations, and advanced DUI investigations.  He’s an instructor for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as a general instructor, high liability first aid instructor, American Heart Association CPR instructor, and National Tactical Officers Association Rescue Task Force instructor.  David is solely responsible for the training, continuing education and implementation of CPR, AED, first aid and active threat integration with EMS for his current agency.  David is currently the senior vice president in the West Central PBA executive board.
