Advanced Instructor Development

Advanced Instructor Development course is designed to provide current trainers and instructors the ability to continue to build their teaching skills. General instructor curriculum for state certification covers important, but basic generalized topics geared toward teaching recruits in an academy setting. With more agencies promoting instructor classes for various internal and external applications, there is a need for a deeper curriculum that addresses content beyond that focus. Join us to explore advanced considerations in teaching.

Topics include

  • Generational Challenges
  • Classroom Socialization
  • Verbal Judo for Instructors
  • Web-assisted Instruction
  • Equipment and Props – What to Use?
  • PowerPoint Creation Best Practices
  • Research and Referencing
  • Liability Considerations
